Our Home Education Nature Explorers sessions offer Primary School aged children the opportunity to learn, explore and connect through hands-on experiences on our working farm.
From den building and nature crafts to caring for animals and exploring the farm environment, children are encouraged to follow their curiosity, build independence and develop confidence in a supportive, small-group setting.
Led by an experienced primary school teacher, learning can be tailored to individual areas of focus through discussion, ensuring each child gets the most from their time with us. We provide a welcoming space where children can learn, grow and thrive together in the great outdoors.
Due to Government Funding, these sessions are FREE for home education groups of four or more children, with a minimum session length of two hours.
Children must bring their own packed lunch and a drinks bottle.
Children should come dressed appropriately for the weather, including warm, waterproof clothing or sun hats and sun cream in warmer months. In line with Government advice, long sleeves and trousers are recommended to help protect against ticks when exploring outdoor environments. For health and safety reasons, wellies or old trainers should be brought along for sessions, along with a change of footwear for the journey home.
Handwashing, boot-washing and toilet facilities are all available on-site.
